Phosphorus supplement to correct deficient levels in diet or balance Calcium:Phosphorus ratios in the equine diet.
This MUST be fed in a balanced diet to ensure correct supplementation. A diet with too much Phosphorus and not enough Calcium has serious implications. Not recommended for equines grazing oxalate pasture or those on high grain diets.
Symptoms of a diet low in Phosphorus especially if Salt & Copper needs have been addressed, potentially are chewing/eating wood fences, stripping/eating bark off trees, eating manure, licking concrete etc. There can be other issues at play such as dental, gut, lack of fibre, health and stimulation/happiness issues which brings it back to being fed in a balanced diet.
25g Phos provides:
3.4g Phosphorus
6g Magnesium
250mg Calcium
500mg Sulphur
Level 25ml scoop = 25g
Feed 25-50g dose depending on size, needs and exsisting levels.
Must be used in conjunction with a minerally balanced diet.
