Lucerne/timothy mix chaff, Coprice high joule, 40g HHIO Performance, Salt, Cold pressed flaxseed oil, and moved him to a grassier paddock with old type grasses.

This combo was chosen from the HHIO easy choose base feed list and HHIO Performance was the appropriate formula for his needs - especially with the quality amino acids to support healthy muscle, hoof and coat. Once he is where Anna would like him to be, condition-wise, then he can be switched to HHIO Foundation which gives the same coverage but at lower levels (still higher than most on the market), is more economical - minus the digestive support.

A La Carte, TB 14 years old
Aug 2025 - A La Carte arrived very underweight and she is on the hot side, she is getting calmer and more manageable all the time but still can lose the plot
Nov 2025 - We have started on a HHIO Rebuild as well as Support and Performance. We are at Taupo horse trials and I have NEVER seen this mare do anything other than watery cow splats as soon as she gets on the float or is at an event. Poop still could be better but a huge improvement. Behaviour wise, she just did XC, super calm in the warm up area and the most controlled and harmonious XC she's done to date.
March 2026 (photo) - I guess you could call that a shine! Grace's horse at Timberlands, on Performance and Restore, about to do her dressage. She finished 3rd individually on her dressage score and her team came 3rd as a team. And no sloppy poops all weekend!
A la Carte's diet: grass/hay 24/7
Hard feed is timothy chaff, linseed, rice bran pellets, salt, Performance and Restore. Quantities have gone down over time and we removed the Copra as she is a good weight now.
